Quest System & Guide

Quests in Hooked: Crestwater Bay teach you fishing fundamentals while unlocking new gear, locations, and challenges. Captain E will guide you through a series of quests that reward you with currency, shop unlocks, and story progression.

Quest Progression

Quests unlock in a specific order with two main branches after Meeting the Competition. Here's the complete progression tree:

Early Game Quests

1. Visit Captain E's Shop 📚

Type: Tutorial | Unlocks: Available immediately

Requirements:

• Visit Captain E's Shop (use Maps app)
• Purchase 1 tackle item
• Purchase 1 bait item

Tips: This is your introduction to the game. Travel to Captain E's shop from the Maps app and buy a basic hook and some bait to get started.

2. First Cast 📚

Type: Tutorial | Unlocks: After "Visit Captain E's Shop"

Requirements:

• Catch 1 fish

Rewards:

• $5
• Unlocks: Miller's Creek location
• Unlocks: Second Cast quest
• Phone message about Miller's Creek

Tips: Equip your hook and bait from the Inventory app, then start fishing at Crestwater Dock. Wait for a bite and reel it in!

3. Second Cast 📚

• Catch 2 fish total
• Visit Miller's Creek

• Catch 1 fish with deep tackle

Tips: Use different tackle to reach various depths. Crankbaits dive deeper, while poppers stay on the surface.

Type: Exploration | Unlocks: After "The Right Tackle"

Requirements:

• Catch 3 fish during dawn (5:00 AM - 7:00 AM)

Tips: Use the Weather app to check the current time. Dawn is a peak feeding time when fish are most active.

7. Line Management 101 📚

• Successfully land 3 fish without breaking your line
• Catch 1 fish that weighs over 3 lbs

Tips: Watch the tension meter carefully. Stop reeling when it enters the yellow or red zone to avoid line breaks. Bigger fish require patience and good line management.

8. Trophy Hunter 🏆

• Catch 1 trophy fish

Rewards:

10. The Miller Creek Challenge 🏆

Requirements:

• Catch 5 different species at Miller's Creek

Rewards:

Tips: Miller's Creek has cold-water species like trout and char. You'll need to experiment with different tackle and bait to attract the variety of species needed to complete this challenge.

11. Catch and Release 📖

Type: Story | Unlocks: After "Trophy Hunter"

Requirements:

• Catch and release 10 fish

Rewards:
